nano-thermite is thermite applied to a carrier (found as red/grey chips in 911 dust aka unspent thermite) and is very explosive.

Feb 27th 2009 update: well, let's call a spade a spade, we're talking about an admission that the Twin Towers structural columns were painted (at some point during or after their construction) with THERMATE PAINT. Latest blaze comment best evidence yet of a terrible conspiracy. Or maybe all buildings in New York are covered in Thermate Paint? Better check those insurance policies.
