Wikileaks has obtained and decrypted this previously unreleased video footage from a US Apache helicopter in 2007. It shows Reuters journalist Namir Noor-Eldeen, driver Saeed Chmagh, and several others as the Apache shoots and kills them in a public square in Eastern Baghdad.
They are apparently assumed to be insurgents.
"Look at those dead bastards." what a (military) legacy, eh?
After the initial shooting, an unarmed group of adults and children in a minivan arrives on the scene and attempts to transport the wounded. They are fired upon as well.
The official statement on this incident initially listed all adults as insurgents and claimed the US military did not know how the deaths ocurred. Wikileaks released this video with transcripts and a package of supporting documents on April 5th 2010 on COLLATERAL MURDER.
And just in case you think this is an isolated incident, here's Gen. Stanley McChrystal admitting that (in Afghanistan), "We have shot an amazing number of people, but to my knowledge, none has ever proven to be a threat," [source HUFFINGTON POST]

I think it's a little strange to be shocked that soldiers in a war zone talk like this. Haven't you ate lest seen Band of Brothers?
This video is beyond tragic, but it's clear that these guys weren't lighting up civilians just for fun. They identified a threat, and took it out. As for the women and children who came to help, it's a goddamn war. If someone is trying to help your enemy, then they become a legit target, as callous and unfortunate as it sounds.
Yes, this a horrible story. Yes, they made a mistake, but it's important to realize that it is in fact a MISTAKE. This is in no way the norm, so I'll say a prayer for the dead and not waste time acting as if this is somehow proof of unquenchable bloodthirst on the side of American troops.
Technically, it's an invasion under dubious legal circumstances.
And that young gunner was BEGGING to open fire ... maybe he was wanting-outta-there scared, but he certainly WANTED to see some foreigners die.
Fact.

Wait to see what happens after around 2:20.
For anyone who has 'gotten through the barrier' (info+psychological barrier), You'll understand just what it is that You're seeing.
I found watching this so incredibly chilling. THERE IT ALL IS, RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. The combination of Military, Narcotics, NWO-Controlled Media ... plus the UNSPEAKABLE 'gleeful' contempt for the Fox-viewing public - ("Here it is, right in your face, and you're STILL too dumb to get it - ha ha ha ha!").
My mind shot immediately to the final scenes of "A Scanner Darkly" ...

Small extra note -
I have been working a little on the possible historic/mythic-symbolism association between -
- Opium Poppy (capsule) and
- Pomegranate (fruit).
There's a good amount of evidence for these two being 'interchangeable', (this having arisen due mainly to their similar shapes, as depicted in ancient religious art).
Therefore, where You find the Pomegranate within various Mythologies (Persephone/Underworld; Hebrew Temple pillar decoration; etc) - its symbolic reference MIGHT (?) be deriving from the much-more-obviously meaning-loaded Opium Poppy, whose use was central within more ancient, preceding Religious Cults, (for example in Minoan Crete, etc).
....................
The 'Intersection' of both the above themes (Opium Poppy/High Criminality/Cult Significance) is NOT 'just some coincidence' ... I would suggest.
