Meredith Frampton, a British painter and etcher born in the late nineteenth century, was educated at St John's Wood Art School and the at the Royal Academy Schools. Although his artistic career was short and his output limited, his work is on display at the National Portrait Gallery, Tate Gallery, Tate Modern and Imperial War Museum. I find it just mesmerising.
