I'd missed this news report from Bloomberg, it certainly wasn't on ANY mainstream media shows in this country, that is some mighty organised rebels right there:Libyan rebels in Benghazi said they have created a new national oil company to replace the corporation controlled by leader Muammar Qaddafi whose assets were frozen by the United Nations Security Council.
The Transitional National Council released a statement announcing the decision made at a March 19 meeting to establish the “Libyan Oil Company as supervisory authority on oil production and policies in the country, based temporarily in Benghazi, and the appointment of an interim director general” of the company.
The Council also said it “designated the Central Bank of Benghazi as a monetary authority competent in monetary policies in Libya and the appointment of a governor to the Central Bank of Libya, with a temporary headquarters in Benghazi.” [source BLOOMBERG]
Until now, there have been only 5 nations without a Rothschild central bank: North Korea, Iran, Sudan, Cuba and Libya. Instead SkyNews and BBC are reporting that "President Obama hasn't ruled out arming the rebels to overthrown Ghaddafi." That's an official legalese win like the one that allowed WATER BOARDING. Peace prize tastic.
Additionally: it seems that AT NO POINT IN THIS IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS OF UN RESOLUTION 1973 is the term "civilian" defined. What is the definition of a 'civilian' in this case? If it's an innocent by-stander caught in crossfire, then fair enough. If it's an armed freedom fighter trying to bring down a government, then we're talking about TERRORISTS, surely? We're certainly unsure if HORDES OF ARMED CONVOYS OF VEHICLES constitute 'civilians' in the case of 1973, cos then you're talking about funding one side of a civil war.
AFTERNOON UPDATE: did CNN 'really' title a news item on the Libyan crisis A NEW WORLD ORDER?
looks that way - them is brass balls!
THIRTY-YEARS AGO, FOOTNOTE:
'The details of the plan were sketchy, but it seemed to be a classic CIA destabilization campaign. One element was a "disinformation" program designed to embarrass Kaddafi and his government. Another was the creation of a "counter government" to challenge his claim to national leadership. A third - potentially the most risky - was an escalating paramilitary campaign, probably by disaffected Libyan nationals, to blow up bridges, conduct small-scale guerrilla operations and demonstrate that Kaddafi was opposed by an indigenous political force.' So, you see, there is nothing new on this planet. Same old Global Chess game. Screw You The People.
