Hmmm...time travel. I recall Terence McKenna's idea that no time machine can have been invented yet, because the moment (X) it is first used to travel into the future, it sets a precedent to allow every time machine from the future to return to (X) (it not being permissible to travel into the past further back than before the first use of that first machine) conveying any technology or evolved human specie from our most distant future to (X), thereby performing a wormhole-type effect in time. All times would then effectively become one. (But I don't suppose we're gonna get that in a Bruce Willis film, hehe)
