The day after Rebekah Brooks gave evidence at the Leveson Inquiry a former employee has described a culture of fear at the News of the World in which reporters routinely fabricated stories while she was deputy editor.
Former investigative reporter Graham Johnson also claims other senior staff gave junior reporters the numbers of private investigators who went on to illegally obtain private documents. [source BBC]
'I made up stories for News of the World' - Graham Johnson
re: 'culture of fear' - damn straight, anybody who's employed by the Corporate War Machine (that's anybody in politics, press or policing) are literally SHITTING THEMSELVES that their managers will come down on them like 'the proverbial tonne of retribution' were they to be found in breach of their freedom-humiliating NDAs or Non Disclosure Agreements.
And this even extends beyond the corporate playpen out into the real world to such conceptual discussions as a Free Planet, as noted in my recent post WHO'S AFRAID OF THE BIG BAD WOLF where it's become more than clear (to me) that 'culture of fear' has so crippled people's ability to take their world back from their Corporate Overlords in the name of Creativity, Passion and Kinship.
You The People are literally AFRAID to think.
