I think that it is the stories/myths we need investigate, and one of the earliest recorded stories which comes to us in patriarchal history is the Babylonian battle between Marduk and Tiamat, the Serpent Goddess of Chaos, or in other words the Great Mother. This epic myth known as the Enuma Elish is the first example of a warrior heroic-egoist mindset at war with Nature, women, and basically DEPTH which includes ones own feelings and emotions, all of this that mindset turns into 'monsters' it must forever be in conflict with. Following are the familiar hero myths, like Gilgamesh, Perseus versus Medusa, etc etc, and in art the depictions of armoured men on horseback attacking and killing Dragons/Serpents. A great book that goes deep into this is titled From a Broken Web, by Catherine Keller
Also, people like John Weir Perry who have offered sanctuaries (DIABASIS, Soteria House, etc) for those deemed 'mentally ill' with 'schizophrenia etc have found that in extreme states, or madness, people often find themselves in mythical dimensions, and often these feature the mythical indoctrination we have all been well versed in, a duality between 'good' and 'evil' and so on. This shows you haw deep these stories can affect the psyche. And predatory control-freak mindsets know this very well and that is whey they suppressed more benign stories which helped us find connection, and replaced with toxic myth aimed at dividing and controlling us even from our own being! This is--as your article suggests--the ROOTS of dis-ease.

muzuzuzushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03662316983453845369noreply@blogger.com
